The 7-time Danish Champion, Grandmaster Sune Berg Hansen, is once again participating in the top group at the Kronborg Chess Open 2025. The tournament takes place from May 28 to June 1 at Comwell Borupgaard in Snekkersten and attracts chess players from all over the world.
Sune Berg Hansen, with a FIDE rating of 2508, is a respected chess player in Denmark. His participation in the Kronborg Chess Open is always a pleasure, as he has deep chess roots and his level of play always adds extra excitement to the tournament. Hansen has previously won the Danish Championship seven times, making him one of the most successful chess players in Danish chess history and one of the favorites to win this year’s tournament.
This year, he has also helped win the Danish Team Championship with Hillerød Chess Club.
With the participation of other strong players such as Swedish GM Ralf Åkesson and GM Vignir Vatnar Stefansson from Iceland, the Kronborg Chess Open 2025 promises to be an exciting and entertaining tournament.
