IM Jung Min Seo is participating in the Kronborg Chess Open 2025

Nordic Champion 2024

The 23-year-old Swedish chess player Jung Min Seo, the reigning nordiic champion, will participate for the first time in the Kronborg Chess Open 2025. The tournament will take place from May 28th to June 1st, 2025, at Hotel Comwell Borupgaard in Snekkersten, Denmark.

Swedish Champion in 2021

Jung Min Seo has had an impressive career so far. He became the Swedish champion swedish champion in 2021  in 2021 and earned the title of International Master the same year. He is now chasing his second GM norm and previously reached a rating of 2520 in 2022. In 2023, he won the Kvibergspelen, and in 2024, he became the Stockholm blitz chess champion. He has also been among the top 50 on the world junior ranking list and is currently ranked number 5 in Sweden, making him Sweden’s strongest IM player.

First time in the Kronborg Chess Open
